Firbank School Board

Owen joined the Firbank School Board in October 2020.  Owen is a qualified Land Economist with almost 30 years experience including commercial and industrial agency, site identification, acquisitions, property development and investment banking.

His communication, negotiation and marketing skills, combined with a demonstrated ability to create new and foster existing relationships, has seen him succeed across a number of roles.

Highly motivated, Owen is dependable, positive, calm under pressure and excels in a team environment as leader or team player in both work and his non work interests.

Owen’s daughter was the 2022 School Captain and a Year 12 student at Firbank.

Frieda was elected to the Firbank Board in 2016 and is the current chair of the Finance Committee and Honorary Treasurer of the Foundation Trust Company.  Frieda is a Chartered Accountant and graduate of Monash University where she completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) / Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) in 1997.

Frieda has worked in both private and publicly listed companies over the last 18 years specialising in accounting, corporate tax and external financial reporting.  She has held the role of External Reporting Manager at IRESS Limited and more recently, Group Financial Controller at Adslot Limited. She is currently an Executive Director in her family business, which has Australian and international investments in the agricultural, seafood and property industries. Frieda is the Treasurer of The Queen’s Fund, one of Victoria’s oldest charities, that assists Victorian women and their children who are in distress by providing short-term emergency grants.

Frieda has a daughter who attends Firbank.

Chris was appointed to the Firbank Board in August 2022 and serves as Chair of the Foundation Trust Company and is a member of the Finance Committee. Chris is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in education and edtech.

With a background in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and Citi Group, Chris joined SEEK in 2016 and is a leader in the SEEK Investments team in the education and edtech sector. His responsibilities include overseeing investments and portfolio management.  He holds an MBA from London Business School and a Master’s with First Class Honours in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester.

Chris is also a Board Member for OES, Avenu Learning, GO1, and MyTutor.

Chris and his wife Cassandra, who is a Firbank alum, have two daughters who attend Firbank.

Alexandra Ash is Chief Executive Officer of Y Australia, leading one of Australia’s largest youth-serving movements across more than 650 communities. Her focus includes youth empowerment, safeguarding, national advocacy, organisational capability and delivery of the Y’s Vision 2030 strategy.

Alexandra has extensive executive and non-executive experience across community and high-performance sport, recreation, early childhood education and care, risk, commercial operations and organisational transformation. Previously, as CEO of Gymnastics Australia, she led significant cultural, governance and sporting reform.

A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Alexandra holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Policy and Politics, and qualifications in executive leadership, sport and commerce. She is also President of Royal Life Saving Society Australia, Chair of ActiveXchange APAC, a Non-Executive Director of Western Leisure Services and an Independent Tribunal Panel Member for Paralympics Australia.

As a parent in the Firbank and BGS communities, Alexandra is committed to strong governance and to ensuring young people have safe, inclusive and meaningful opportunities to learn, participate and thrive.

Natalie has a longstanding connection to the Firbank and Brighton Grammar community. Her daughter graduated from Firbank and her son has graduated from Brighton Grammar.

Natalie is a former student of Firbank, graduating in 1988. Natalie is currently Chief Executive Officer of Vivi, an Australian education technology company providing classroom technology, communications and school safety solutions to schools around the world. She has been CEO of Vivi since 2018 and has led the company through a period of significant growth and international expansion.

Natalie has more than 25 years’ experience across technology, media, education and digital businesses. Prior to Vivi, she was CEO of School Places and CEO of Kidspot following its acquisition by News Corp, and spent six years at SEEK in senior marketing, public relations and investor relations roles. Her experience spans strategy, growth, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, marketing and building high-performing organisations. Natalie holds a Bachelor of Business from Victoria University, majoring in Marketing. She is also a Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed 5G Networks.

Garrick Rollason was appointed to the Firbank Grammar Board in September 2026. He is Chief Financial Officer of APA Group, an ASX-listed energy infrastructure business with more than $20 billion in assets across gas transmission and storage, power generation and electricity transmission.

Garrick has more than 20 years’ experience in energy, infrastructure and capital markets, spanning finance, technology, strategy, M&A, risk, governance and procurement. Previously, he was CFO at Victoria Power Networks and United Energy, and a Director in Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Division.

An Old Boy of Brighton Grammar, Garrick holds Arts and Commerce degrees and a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Stuart is Global Agentic AI Leader & Chief Technology Officer at Deloitte Australia. In his global role, Stuart is accountable for scale Agentic AI across markets and to modernise delivery and enable the digital workforce for our clients and Deloitte teams.
