Our ELC programs offer flexibility

You are able to choose from:

  • Brighton All Girls Campus
  • Sandringham Co-Educational Campus
  • ELC3 over 2, 3 or 5 days 9am to 3pm or 7am to 6pm
  • ELC4 over 4 or 5 days 9am to 3pm or 7am to 6pm

Our programs nurture children and prepare them for school

Our ELC:

  • Is based within the Firbank Junior School Campuses
  • Is part of the International Baccaleureate® (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), which helps students enquire as part of their learning journey
  • Utilises the Junior School library (on top of our ELC Library), Music and Sporting Facilities
  • Operates during school terms
  • Firbank Grammar has processes in place for parents to access the Child Care Subsidy
  • Has qualified Educators who really know the sequence of learning
  • Is the start of many long friendships

FUNDING

The Firbank Grammar School program for three- and four-year olds is offered through our Early Learning Centre as a fee‑paying program. Firbank does not currently participate in the Victorian Government’s Free Kindergarten initiative and, therefore, no Free Kinder offset is currently applicable.

Families may, however, be eligible to receive the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS). CCS is a Commonwealth subsidy that helps reduce the cost of approved early childhood education and care, including long day care early learning programs. Families apply for CCS directly to Services Australia, and eligibility is based on individual  family circumstances. If families are eligible, the subsidy is applied directly to fees by Services Australia.

Sandringham House ELC has officially achieved an Exceeding rating in all seven Quality Areas of the National Quality Standard, an outstanding recognition of the care, expertise and dedication that shape our early learning community every day.
Guided by the IB Primary Years Programme and grounded in the National Quality Framework, our educators nurture curious, confident and compassionate young learners through thoughtful practice, meaningful relationships and a truly child‑centred approach.
This Exceeding result reflects exceptional practice across every area, from learning environments and wellbeing to community partnerships and leadership. It’s a testament to our educators, our families and the joyful, engaged children at the heart of our ELC. We’re incredibly proud of this achievement.
