Learn, Train, Compete

A Lifelong Swimming Journey

From first experiences in the water through to senior competition, Firbank Swim School offers a seamless and supportive swimming pathway for Firbank students, and all girls and boys from the wider community, aged four years of age through to young adulthood.

Structured Learn to Swim lessons focus on technique and safety. As skills develop, students transition into squad training and club swimming, with opportunities to compete and excel.

Whether pursuing performance or lifelong fitness, every student is supported by specialist coaches (AUSTSWIM qualified), a structured progression pathway, and a strong focus on wellbeing and safety.

Lessons are offered seven days a week and are open to Firbank students and the wider community.

Beyond Our Gates

Open to the Community

Our commitment to swimming extends beyond our students to the broader community.

Learn to Swim lessons from four years of age.

A competition pathway through membership in Firbank Aquastars (FAS).

Senior fitness swimming opportunities.

Brighton Life Saving Club

Partnering with our local community

Firbank’s partnership with the Brighton Life Saving Club reflects our deep commitment to community connection and water safety — an essential life skill for all Australians.

Through this collaboration, swimmers extend their capabilities beyond the pool, developing an understanding of surf awareness, rescue techniques and coastal safety. Learning alongside experienced lifesavers, swimmers build confidence, resilience and a strong sense of responsibility for themselves and others.

Together, Firbank and Brighton Life Saving Club support the development of capable, confident swimmers — equipped not only to navigate the water safely, but to lead and contribute with purpose within their community.
