2022 Sporting Scholarship – Brighton Campus
For students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2022.
Sporting scholarships are available to students currently attending Firbank and external applicants.
Applicants must have a sound academic record and demonstrate a commitment to and an achievement of excellence in their chosen sport/s. Sports scholarship recipients are required to contribute to a range of School sporting activities and compete in their chosen sport/s for the School for the duration of the Scholarship. They are expected to be good ambassadors for the School.
The scholarships will be tenable until the student has completed Year 12, subject to satisfactory performance and an annual review. They will be awarded on the basis of an interview, a scholarship application and examination which will be held on Saturday, 6 February, 2021.
For a student to be considered for a Sporting Scholarship the following criteria are applicable:
- Evidence of participation at state and/or national level competition in a Firbank sport: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cross Country, Diving, Equestrian, Hockey, Netball, Rowing, Snow Sports, Soccer, Surf League, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball.
- Evidence of positive role modelling to other students and peers in one or more of the above sports.
- Evidence of in-school and out-of-school sporting achievements. e.g. Photocopy of Certificates.
Short listed candidates will be invited to attend an interview with the Director of Admissions and the Director of Sport. However, the interview does NOT necessarily mean a Scholarship will be offered.

Please ensure that your child fills in the online application form below and upload a copy of the applicant’s most recent school report and a copy of the latest NAPLAN results.
A written reference from Coach/s of the chosen sport/s.
- An Application Fee of $100.00 will be charged by our testing service, Edutest.
Applications close Wednesday, 27 January 2021. Not all applicants will be interviewed.
All candidates will be notified of results by mail.
