Junior School Art Teacher (Part-time)

Firbank is seeking an innovative, dynamic and collaborative Art Teacher for a part-time (.46 FTE) 12 month position for Term 1, 2019 at our Sandringham campus.

The successful applicant will be motivated, with a passion for teaching Art and a willingness to care for and connect with students, parents and staff. As an exceptional communicator, you will possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy, and be able to deliver teaching strategies that cater for a varying range of abilities. Proficiency in the use of digital technologies to enhance student learning is highly desirable.

SCHOOL NURSE

Firbank is looking for an experienced school nurse to manage its Health Centres across our three  campuses. This is a 12 month fixed-term position, based in Brighton. Experience in a school environment essential.

You will be responsible for managing the physical health and well-being of students and staff, promoting health in order to facilitate learning by providing a clinically effective, high quality service of nursing care and ensuring compliance with professional and legal requirements.

In addition to being a Registered Nurse, you will have current CPR training, WWCC, drivers license, basic computer skills and experience in a similar role.

STATE SQUAD AND JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT COACH

Firbank Grammar School has a strong relationship with the Firbank Aquastars (FAS) swim club. The club was formed in 1997 with the support of the School Board. The school provides coaching staff and access to the Senior School’s swimming and training facilities, a 6 lane indoor heated 25m pool. and adjacent gym.   We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and commited coach to join the coaching team.

The successful applicant would work with the Director of Swimming/Head Coach in the planning, implementation and overseeing of training programs from learn to swim level swimmers through to those competing at a State and National level.  Excellent communication skills with young and age group swimmers and parents, and the desire to continue learning and developing their coaching techniques are essential attributes. Experience coaching within a swim school or schools aquatic program is highly desirable. Hours of duty are determined in consultation with the Director of Swimming and Swim School Manager, averaging 38 hours per week.                                                         Qualifications: First Aide/CPR, Minimum ASCTA Bronze Coaching Licence, Working with Children Check.

Firbank is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Receptionist for the Junior School Brighton Campus (Teaching staff term-time, plus 3 extra weeks).

Immediate start.

This role is working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position requires someone who has proven experience working on Reception in a similar environment; someone who is personable, highly organised and has excellent time management skills.
