Firbank Grammar rowers set a new World Record on the rowing ergometer as the first all-female high school team to complete the million meters challenge.

Concept 2, the makers of the rowing machines, allowed for four ergometers running simultaneously. The students took turns and rowed through the night to accomplish this feat in 19 hours, 41 minutes and 35.4 seconds.

This World Record is just another way that Firbank Grammar uses programs like rowing to develop determination, teamwork and resilience.

The girls were very proud of their accomplishment and were pleased to have so much support from the Firbank Community and Head Coach, McGrath.
