Firbank Parents Association

The Firbank Association is the umbrella body for all parent groups. We focus on friend raising and fundraising for major events, services and smaller activities. We are here to support our Firbank parent community whatever the need may be. We encourage all parents to get involved in the school community as it provides the opportunity to connect and make some wonderful friends.

SSPA

The Senior School Parents Association meets regularly and works closely with the School to promote a sense of community among parents and provide funds for specific projects, like outdoor furniture, sunshades and the commissioning of a sculpture for the forecourt of the Centenary Student Centre. Class representatives at each level organise informal functions for parents.

To get involved please contact [email protected]

SHPA

The Sandringham House Parents’ Association (SHPA) represent all parents at our Junior School Sandringham Campus. We organise social functions to promote and encourage contact between parents, thereby fostering a great sense of community within the School and raise funds for items not covered by the school fees.

For further updates don’t forget to check the Firefly SHPA page. To contact us email [email protected]

PATH

Parents Association Turner House (PATH) is the parent group for the Brighton Junior School Campus. All parents at Turner House are welcome to attend PATH meetings and to assist with PATH events. Through the Class Representatives, PATH takes pride in welcoming new parents. Our annual community events include the Mother’s Day Luncheon, PATH Summer Picnic and the Father’s Day Breakfast. PATH is able to contribute towards items to enhance student’s experiences both on the playground and at special events.

Friends of Music

Firbank Friends of Music (FOM) was formed in 1993 and the group raises funds to support the music programs as well as purchase “one off” specialist instruments. During term time, we meet once a month on a Wednesday in the Meeting Room of the Music Precinct. We always welcome new members.  Please contact the Senior School Music Office on 9591 5151 to join or enquire.

FODDA

Friends of Dance and Dramatic Arts (FODDA) is a Firbank parent group who supports our talented dancers, actors, designers, directors, theatre technicians, crews and choreographers. Firbank Old Grammarian, Melissa Madden Gray (‘Meow Meow’ – internationally acclaimed Actor / Dancer / Cabaret performer) is our Patron.

We warmly invite parents to be a part of FODDA. To get involved or to find out more, please come to one of our meetings or contact [email protected]

The Rowing Club

The Rowing Club support and raise funds for our rowing program. We connect parents from different year levels, organise social functions and events and enjoy cheering from the river bank at the various regattas. Most of the fun and festivities take place on regatta days; with Firbank marquees, a BBQ trailer and lots of socialising along the riverbank.  A major highlight for the Rowing Club is organising and hosting the annual Firbank Regatta on the Barwon River in Geelong.

The Rowing Club hold monthly meetings. If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact the School on 9591 5188.
