Student Representative Council
I value the opportunity to work with such a passionate and focused group of girls; girls who are committed to positive changes that will benefit the wider Firbank community. The seminal part of the Student Council is that it provides the students with a voice. In this way, it provides a platform for Firbank girls to be true leaders; advocating for what they believe is right.
Emma Bourke, Student Representative Council Captain
At Firbank, we view leadership in a broad context and leadership of self is a vital part of a student’s development. Students can stand for election to the Student Council which is made up of students from Years 7 to 12. There is also a Prefect system in Year 12 and various House leadership positions. Students from Years 8 to 12 can also be part of the Student Initiative Committee and our Year 11 students can act as Peer Supporters.
