Latest from Year 6
Year 6 have started the year with a wealth of learning experiences covering a vast range of skills. The adventure camp to Phillip Island was both challenging and relaxing. For some, it was the first time erecting and sleeping in a tent; cosy quarters with 2 classmates! Apart from organised activities like raft building, canoeing, laser strike and low ropes, it was rewarding to see the students enjoying the bush setting, building huts, playing all sorts of games, and generally enjoying the outdoors and the open fire surrounded by hay bales. They were challenged to work collaboratively in teams, to think outside of the box and to demonstrate resilience. It was very pleasing to have the camp staff comment on how well-mannered and helpful our students were.
