Rowing Club

Rowing is an extremely challenging sport that requires the commitment both physically and mentally.  It is a team sport with students improving not only their individual skills, but crew skills through hours of training.  One person alone cannot win a race for a crew – races are only won by achieving perfect synergy between crew members as they power the boat through the water.  A champion crew will always defeat a crew of champions. At Firbank, we aim to expose Rowing students to challenge their limits and continually redefine new boundaries and their understanding of their own capabilities. Whilst catering for those who simply want to enjoy the sport and what it has to offer, the program will aim to provide opportunities for students to be successful at both the Head of the Schoolgirls Regatta, the Australian Rowing Championships and at an international level.
