After completing her PhD and lecturing at tertiary level, Dr Sarros chose to return to the school environment where her energies have been directed into working to develop curriculum and enhance the learning opportunities for students. She has co-authored a successful English text book for VCE students.

Dr Sarros has an unwavering belief in the value of single sex education for girls at the secondary level and a commitment to supporting all students in striving to achieve their best. She has undertaken research on teacher stress and believes in collaborative decision making and working with collegial teams.

While taking pride in our history and traditions, we are also embracing the challenges which are taking Firbank forward, helping us to grow as a school of the 21st century and ensuring that our students are equipped to meet the demands of an ever-changing world.
