We aspire to create a school community where students, teachers and parents learn, work and live in a holistic and sustainable way that protects and enhances the environment now, and for the future Firbank.
We will aim to foster a culture at Firbank where we create awareness and educate for environmental sustainability.  We will be proactive in developing and implementing sustainable programs and projects for the school, involving all the stakeholders in the Firbank community and seeking to influence others.

We will structure our environmental programs to

  • Measure our use of our resources as well as the waste we produce
  • Set goals to reduce our environmental impact
  • Prepare a School Action Plan of smart, simple sustainable activities we can do to achieve our goals
  • Take action
  • Monitor our progress, review our plan, and seek continuous improvement
  • Celebrate and communicate our achievements as a school community
